Kim Wimble Holistic Therapist at heverhealth.com

Kim Wimble is a highly skilled holistic therapist with 15 years of experience in the spa and wellbeing field. She qualified in holistic massage in 2008 and has since developed a specialist practice spanning deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, hot stone massage, lymphatic drainage, Indian head massage, Thai foot massage and bespoke aromatherapy facials, created in collaboration with natural skincare brand Naturally Thinking. She holds a BTEC Level 4 qualification and is a Member of the Guild of Holistic Therapists (MGHT).

Kim’s approach is warm, precise and thoroughly tailored. She adapts every session to the individual in front of her, taking the time to understand what you are carrying, what you need and what you want to feel like when you leave. The breadth of her training means she can draw from multiple modalities within a single session, combining techniques in ways that produce results a single-discipline treatment rarely achieves.

Reflexology

Reflexology applies targeted pressure to reflex points on the feet, each corresponding to specific organs, glands and systems throughout the body. The therapy works through the nervous system, encouraging the body to regulate functions that have become disrupted by stress, illness or chronic tension. Kim’s reflexology sessions blend massage techniques, stretches and acupressure to create a treatment that is both deeply relaxing and physiologically effective.

Kim has written on the therapies she specialises in. Her articles on what reflexology is and how it works, reflexology for sleep, reflexology for hormonal imbalance and reflexology vs massage address the questions patients most frequently arrive with. On the aromatherapy side, her pieces on how essential oils work, why heat changes everything in hot stone massage and choosing essential oils for stress, sleep and recovery explain the physiology behind treatments that are often appreciated without being fully understood.

Kim also offers a 90-minute combination session that includes a foot soak and exfoliating scrub before the reflexology treatment itself.

Aromatherapy and Hot Stone Massage

Kim’s aromatherapy and hot stone sessions combine the penetrating heat of basalt stones with professionally blended essential oils from the Naturally Thinking range. The heat reaches deep into muscle tissue, releasing tension that manual pressure alone cannot always access, while the essential oils interact with the nervous system and emotional centres of the brain to produce a treatment that works on the physical and psychological layers simultaneously.
