Hever Health is now offering TPI assessments to help golfers recognise their bodies limitations in the golf swing and help prevent injuries.

Physiotherapist Chris Green and Osteopath Paul Moody (a golf club member) undertook the stage 1 Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) course to improve their skills and knowledge in the way they assess and treat golfers at Hever.

As part of the TPI assessment golfers have a 16 point physical screening, taking around 15 minutes highlighting physical problems that may affect them during their golf swing. Following this golfers can be given exercises and treatment to help improve these areas.

Chris and Paul will work very closely with the Hever golf pros, including Head Pro Peter Parks and Sam Pitcairn, on the new TPI assessment.

Only 5 PGA pros have passed the TPI screen with 100% score so even the best have room for improvement. One of those who passed was Australian professional Adam Scott.

Chris said: “TPI is an excellent constructive way of physically assessing golfers of all abilities. It is about the golf pro analysing the golf swing, and then bringing together the findings of the TPI assessment.”
